Arkansas House Passes Reduced Fees for Concealed Carry
LEAP Forward has been tracking Arkansas HB 1036 and SB 17 in the state legislature - companion bills that would reduce the fees required to obtain a license to carry a concealed firearm in the state. Monday, HB 1036 passed the state House by a 74-18 vote, and now moves on to the state Senate for consideration alongside SB 17. Both bills would lower the required fee to hide a deadly weapon on one’s person to as low as $25.
LEAP Forward will continue to score opposition to this legislation, and I thank Reps. Megan Godfrey and Denise Garner for voting against this bill.
