The NRA asked their members to attend a “red flag” bill hearing this Thursday. Concerned citizens support at this meeting would help offset NRA member attendance. The meeting of the House Judiciary Committee at the Old State Library at 1:30 pm on Thursday, Feb 21 will allow people to speak on the bill.
House Bill 1177 would create Extreme Risk Protection orders or “red Flag” legislation. It would allow families and certain other individuals to request that guns be removed from a dangerous person.
