Kentucky: Full house voting soon on eliminating gun licenses

The Kentucky full House is soon to vote to eliminate the need for a license to carry a loaded gun. The NRA sent an alert this morning asking their members to support this legislation.  All concerned citizens of Kentucky should call to oppose this legislation because it is the last step before the Governor’s signature.

The Bill

Senate Bill 150 would allow anyone with loaded handguns to bring them wherever they would like, no license required. This includes hiding loaded handguns in cars.

Action

Pro-gun people are barraging their State Representative. Please do the same and call the office of your Kentucky State Representative requesting opposition to SB 150 to stop the expansion of gun proliferation to anyone with no need for a license.

  • Enter your zip code at The League of Women Voters to find your representatives and senators.

  • From the Indivisible Guide 2.0: “Coordinated calls. Calls are a light lift, but can have an impact. Organize your local group to barrage your MoCs [legislators] with calls at an opportune moment about and on a specific issue.”

  • To leverage the impact – forward this on to another concerned citizen.
