Idaho Legislative Update: Bill reducing age for permitless concealed carry heads to Governor.

Scored Votes

🚨❌ H 206, a bill that lowers the age limit for permitless, concealed carrying of a handgun inside city limits to 18, has passed the state Senate by a 28-7, strict party-line vote. The vote came after testimony against the bill by Boise Chief of Police William Bones, who argues the bill would make people less safe.

The bill had previously passed the House, and so now gets sent to Gov. Brad Little.

LEAP Forward has marked HB 206 as a key bill and has weighted votes on the legislation accordingly. This was the first scored vote taken by the Idaho Senate this year.
